How much does it cost to finance an Audi?

Audi sits in the premium segment alongside BMW and Mercedes, but the range is broad enough that there is an Audi to suit many budgets on finance. A used A1 is comparable in price to a mid-spec Ford Focus, while a used Q7 or RS model is a significantly larger commitment.

The monthly cost depends on the model, the amount you borrow, the term length, and the APR you are offered. The rate depends on your individual circumstances. Rates start from 9.9% APR. Representative 19.8% APR.

Audi models have a reputation for holding their value on the used market, particularly the A3, Q3, and Q5. If your Audi holds its value, this could work in your favour with PCP, as the car may be worth more than the balloon payment at the end of the agreement.

Audi's performance models, including the S3, S5, and RS range, are also available on finance. These have a reputation for holding their value on the used market, though insurance and running costs are higher.

Popular Audi models to finance

Audi is one of the most popular brands to finance in the UK. Whether you are looking at a used A1 or a used A5, HP and PCP are both available via Brumble. Once approved, you can get your car from any verified UK dealer. Here are some of the most commonly financed Audi models.

  • Audi A1

Audi's most affordable model. Used A1s offer a premium badge and interior quality at a price comparable to mainstream hatchbacks.

  • Audi A3

A premium hatchback rivalling the BMW 1 Series and Mercedes A-Class. Strong used demand may help support used values.

  • Audi A4

A popular executive saloon and estate. Used A4s could offer good value as they depreciate from a higher starting point.

  • Audi A5

A stylish coupe and sportback. Used A5s offer distinctive looks at a more accessible price point.

  • Audi Q3

A compact SUV that is widely available used. Popular with families looking for a premium feel without the running costs of a larger Q5 or Q7.

  • Audi Q5

A mid-size SUV sitting between the Q3 and Q7. Used Q5s offer a balance of space and performance.

  • Audi Q7

A large seven-seat SUV. Significant new-to-used depreciation means a used Q7 on finance can be more accessible than the list price suggests.

  • Audi TT

An iconic sports coupe. Used TTs are popular on finance for drivers who want something with character and style.

  • Audi Q4 e-tron

Audi's fully electric compact SUV. Used Q4 e-trons are starting to appear as early PCP agreements end.

What are my Audi finance options?

HP for your Audi

With HP (Hire Purchase), you make fixed monthly payments and own the Audi at the end of the agreement. There are no mileage limits, which suits drivers who commute longer distances or rack up miles for work.

HP is usually the more cost-effective option if you plan to keep the car long-term. Many Audi owners keep their cars for five years or more, so paying off the full value and owning it outright could be a practical option.

Audi PCP

Audi PCP is one of the most popular ways to finance an Audi. Your monthly payments are typically lower than HP because you are only paying for the depreciation. At the end of the agreement, you can hand the car back, pay the balloon payment to keep it, or use any equity towards your next car.

Audi's reputation for holding value means PCP balloon payments tend to be relatively high compared to brands with faster depreciation. This tends to keep monthly payments competitive while giving you potential to build equity by the end of the term.

Audi PCP is often available across the range, including on the A1, A3, Q3, Q7, and TT, subject to status. The Q2 and A5 Sportback are also popular PCP choices on the used market.

Your rights during the agreement

With both HP and PCP, you have the right to end the agreement early. Voluntary termination is available once you have paid at least half of the total amount payable. You can also settle the agreement early by paying the remaining balance.

Both HP and PCP may be available with no deposit on many Audi models, subject to status and affordability.

Via Brumble, you can check what HP and PCP options you could be eligible for with a soft search. There is no impact on your credit score. If you then choose to proceed with a full application, a hard credit search will be carried out which may impact your credit score.

Is it better to lease an Audi or finance one?

Leasing and finance serve different needs. With a lease, you never own the car. With finance (HP or PCP), you have the option to own it.

Why many Audi drivers prefer finance

Audi has a reputation for building cars that last. Many owners want to keep their Audi long-term, and HP is one way to do this. Once the final payment is made, the car is yours with no further costs.

With PCP, Audi's reputation for holding value could work in your favour. If the car holds its value better than predicted, you build equity that is yours to use. Leasing removes that opportunity entirely.

Finance also gives you the right to end the agreement early through voluntary termination. Leasing contracts typically involve significant penalties for early exit.

If you want to personalise your Audi with aftermarket wheels, tinted windows, or other modifications, finance gives you that freedom. Leasing usually requires the car to be returned in its original specification.

Can I finance a used Audi?

Yes. Both HP and PCP may be available on used and second hand Audis from verified UK dealers. Via Brumble, you can finance a used Audi from any verified dealer, not just Audi franchised centres.

Most lenders allow the car to be up to around 14 to 16 years old at the end of the agreement. Audi's quattro all-wheel-drive system makes many models popular choices in areas with challenging weather or terrain, and used quattro models have a reputation for holding their value.

Before financing any used car, check its history. Our MOT checker shows past test results. Our tax and ULEZ checker confirms road tax and clean air zone status. You can also check Audi reliability data on our Audi reliability report.

Is it difficult to get Audi finance?

Approval depends on your circumstances, not the brand. That said, Audi models tend to cost more than mainstream brands, so the amount you want to borrow may be higher. Lenders assess whether the monthly payments are affordable for you based on your income and outgoings.

If you are stretching your budget, choosing a more affordable model like a used A1 or A3 rather than a Q7 or RS model gives you a better chance of being approved at comfortable terms.

Being declined elsewhere does not mean every lender will say no. Via Brumble, your application can be matched against a panel of lenders with different criteria.

If you have a lower credit score, see our bad credit car finance page. A guarantor could also strengthen your application for a higher-value vehicle.

How Reliable Are Used Audis?

According to DVSA MOT data analysed by Brumble, Audi has a national MOT pass rate of 78.4%, based on 1.60 million tests in the 2025 test year. The national average across all brands is 72.4%.

This places Audi above the national average, which could indicate that used Audis may be less likely to have issues at MOT time compared to some other brands. However, individual results depend on the car's age, mileage, and maintenance history.

The most common MOT advisory and failure items on Audi vehicles include brake disc wear, suspension bushes, and tyre condition. Checking these areas before purchasing could help you avoid unexpected costs during your finance agreement.

Our free MOT checker lets you look up any vehicle's full MOT history by registration number. For a more detailed assessment, our Audi reliability report breaks down pass rates by model, age, and mileage.

Does Audi offer 0% finance?

Audi occasionally runs 0% finance promotions on selected new models through their dealership network. These promotions, sometimes described as zero interest or 0% APR, are not available all the time and are not available on used cars.

They typically require an excellent credit score and may need a larger deposit. The model choice is limited to whatever Audi is promoting at the time.

If a 0% promotion is not available, Brumble's partner offers used car finance as an alternative. Rates start from 9.9% APR, subject to status.

Audi Car Finance FAQs.

Common questions about Audi car finance.

Not at all. Start with a soft search to check what you could be eligible for, which takes a few minutes and has no impact on your credit score. Once approved, you find the Audi you want from any verified UK dealer. Subject to status and affordability.

Generally, yes. Audi models have a reputation for holding their value, particularly the A3, Q3, and Q5. This means the balloon payment at the end of a PCP agreement tends to be set at a realistic level, and there is potential to build equity if the car holds its value.

Monthly payments depend on the price of the car, not the brand itself. A used Audi A1 is comparable in price to a well-specified Ford Focus. A used Audi Q7 will cost more per month simply because it is a more expensive car. The APR you are offered depends on your individual circumstances.

It may be possible. Some lenders consider applicants with lower credit scores. Choosing a more affordable Audi model could improve your chances, as the borrowing amount is smaller. A soft search lets you check with no risk. Subject to status.

Quattro is Audi's all-wheel-drive system. It does not affect the finance process itself, but quattro models have a reputation for holding their value, which could work in your favour with PCP. They may also have slightly higher insurance groups.

Yes. Electric and hybrid Audis are financed in the same way as petrol or diesel models. HP and PCP may both be available. Used electric Audis are becoming more common as early agreements end. See our hybrid car finance page for more information.

Many finance options are available with no deposit, subject to status and affordability. A deposit is not required, though putting one down could reduce your monthly payments and may improve the terms offered.

Yes. You can request a settlement figure from your lender at any time. With HP, you also have the right to voluntary termination once you have paid at least half of the total amount payable.
